failed field goals

Chargers just lost to the Jets. Funny thing is that the victory was by just 3 points. Coincidentally, the Charger kicker missed his field goal attempt.

Anyone notice how that's been happening a lot this season?

I know that missed field goals are a part of the game, but there has just been a ton of missed field goal attempts this particular season.

Yeah, it sucks when that happens, but you gotta kick, too. Or...score touchdowns so you don't have to attempt them.

I feel the pain, though. As a Vikings fan, remembering the '98 season and our 15-1 team losing the championship game, I got two words for you...Gary Fucking Anderson.

That was a stab to the heart for all true Vikings fans... it took alot of people many years to get over that... I think this season is starting to light the fire again though... and wouldnt ya know it... the superbowl is taking place in Miami.. The very same place it did back during the 98 season.. I say....Lets forget about the past... This year is our chance as a Vikings Community and family to make up for that mistake and to finally show people what we are made of. I have faith in them. Lets do it! LETS GO VIKINGS!!! 🙂

Historically in tight playoff games or games that have meaning, many kickers become total head cases. This has happened for years in the NFL... nothing new here!

What's even more interesting is the Chargers were the only team in the divisional playoffs that play outside on real grass. The rest of the teams in the playoffs were dome teams.
