OK, the summer is coming to a close and fall is arriving. After spending the day digging and stuff yesterday, I thought I'd see what others are up to for fall projects around the house.

As for us...
I've re-done our walk leading to the front porch. I've sealed both porches and the foundation. I'm expanding the perameters of our flower gardens out front. (I've got a ton of bulbs on order...mainly tulips and daffodils, but also a variety of more unusual goodies.) Yesterday, we got the sod lifted for the new areas. I got started on cutting, drilling and placing the landscape timbers. And, I built a small sifter to salvage the soil from the areas we cleared. We're taking today off. But, this week while Drew's at work, I'll be sifting the soil from the old sod, getting the rest of the landscape timbers in place and prepping things for when my bulbs arrive. And that's just out front. I've got projects out back to play with too...including draining the pool and getting things cleared from my veggie gardens so we can get our fence put up. I'll have more goodies to do out back once that's up. Then, when that's all done, I'll move back inside and start back up on all the indoor stuff.

So, what's anyone else got on the agenda?

FINALLY knocked off one project that was WAY overdue......cleaned out the garage, noticed there was a floor in there and room to put two cars! Wow! Next is some carpentry work in the form of touch ups and fixings, then repainting of a room or two or three.... . Winter project may actually finishing the attic above the garage and make a room out of it. PLAY room that is(hopefully)......bwaahahahahahaaaaaaaa!

Aside from some interior painting in the family room. I have to power wash my deck and reinforce the ledger with some 3/8" lag screws to get it up to code. If I get amitious enough, I may replace the planks as well and replace the crappy lattice along the rails.

Plus my in laws are moving so I am keeping my time open to help them as much as I can with moving boxes, replacing fixtures, etc...

I've actually got a couple of photo/film shoots planned with a couple of dear friends of mine. This is going to be a fun autumn for tickling!

Sounds cool, gang. I'm actually stalling on getting moving this morning....or I'd be out there working now. ::: Just a few more minutes. :::

my folks rented a dumpster and we are cleaning out my brother's old room, the cellar/entryway(aka basement),and the kitchen...hopefully by next week it'll be done. as for outdoor work, dad'll probably be mowing the lawn, mom has some stuff she wants to get rid of and put out back.

Sounds good, you two. I got a good chunk of work done yesterday...sifted out all the sod and rock, salvaging about 3 yards of good soil. Today, I'll get the landscape timbers cut and in place. Then, I'll start clearing the old plants and loosen up the soil in that area. Should make for another fun filled day. (Actually, I enjoy doing all this. My body just doesn't like it. 😉 )

PS - Whatcha writing, Wraith? I love a good book.
