Famous encounter

I just heard a piece of interesting news today. My aunt is an artist who sells art at street shows in NYC. Today she called and told us that she happened to see Monica Lewinsky on the street where she was selling. Apparently, according to my mom, my aunt said that she went up to Monica and actually talked to her briefly. From the way my aunt relayed the encounter, she told Monica that she was sorry Bill Clinton said that he had a relationship with her because he could, and Monica told her she appreciated the thought. As many on here know, I knew many famous people growing up because of my father knowing Kiss and such, so to me I would only get "starstruck" at a select few. I thought this was interesting, though, and worth posting.

Mitch my bro, I once met Larry "Bud" Melman at one of his college appearances at UMD in Duluth. You folks remember him, the little nebbish with glasses who used to be David Letterman's stooge on his show. He was a completely cool gent, could not have been sweeter and I got his autograph as well as a pic taken with him. 🙂 Talk about a brush with greatness, top that, IF YOU CAN!!! 😛

That's very cool, Mr Von Zipper, and I hope you are doing well, my friend. Not trying to "top" or anything, but you know that my father knew Kiss and was their business manager in the 70s, and was movie director Mike Cimino's friend and CPA from about 1960 to 82, so I've known my share of famous people, and met many others. I just thought it was interesting that my aunt met Lewinsky, and, as my aunt tells it, she actually initiated the convo. Meeting a famous person can be cool, especially if it's someone you've really admired for a long time.

Say Mitch, believe it or not, my best bud from high school has see KISS live OVER 20 times!, with make-up, without, with make up again, etc-lol, I've seen them twice in concert and they absolutely blew me away, best stage show i've ever seen; once Ted Nugent opened for them and i enjoyed him almost as much as KISS-lol. I guess i'm still a loyal member of the KISS Army.
