Well, let's see... which is more likely? 1) A major celebrity decides to come here and openly announce herself using her own name, risking public embarrassment, media attention, and so on... or, 2) some lonely nut decides to attract a lot of attention by claiming to be a major celebrity.

Let's just say I feel pretty confident in my opinion.

youd have to take into consideration the risk factor of what something like this could do to a big stars career. its by a small margin, but say some obsessive fan figures out the i.p. address of the said star, sees that theyre here, and publisizes it. the papers would tear them apart, and believe it or not, it isnt good publicity. they know this, and thus, stay clear of anything incriminating online.

Who cares? Just because they are "famous," what would it prove? They are just people in a profession that most people over-glorify. Just because they pretend to be someone else for a living, why should we be so gaa-gaa over them?

My wife and I were at the concert series promoting the Dove awards (the gospel music equvalent of the Grrammys). Michael W. Smith was the main performer, and Amy Grant and GAry Chapman (her husband at that time) were there with their infant son, 3 rows in front of us. She had always been one of my favorites since college and thought it would be neat to try to meet her. During the intermisson, she and her husband got swarmed by fans. They were so thick that she was literally hold a pen in one hand as she tried to hold her infant son in the other. Finally, Gary got her to the aisle and was able to get backstage to be with Michael W. Smith (college buddy of theirs, plus "Smitty' started out as her keyboardist). Then I saw her for what she really was. Not a famous singer/songwriter. She was simply a mom trying to enjoy her old freind's preformance with ehr husband and son.

So, I no longer "ooo and ahhh" over the 'famous.' They are just people. Big deal. My work is just as important, if not more, than theirs. They just entertain. I save lives. People need to get a grip on reality.

If some famous actor or actress or singer coems on here, so what? It's not like our shared 'interest' would suddenly become acceptable in mainstream TV or movies or such. It would stay as it is, a specific interest area. Nothing more, nothing less...

I agree with ya there, KY. I don't find celecrities to be all that interesting in the slightest. Unless someone is doing / has done something that I particularly admire they're just another person. Over paid and over glorified for doing nothing more, in many cases, than have a nice body.
I've never said anything before cause I usually like to let the forum do it's thing without my personal opinions getting in the way...but these "zomg which hot singer is ticklish" threads annoy me to no end. really...who cares? People get way too wrapped up in these fantasies. I just don't get it.

Exactly, Nessie. And if some hot actress or hunk male singer was on here? In this place, they would be no different than you or I. Just another enthusaist or fetishist. Even if it were a singer or actress I liked, I would treat it as no big deal. It's not like "Oh Boy...Shannon Elizabeth likes to be tied up and tickled on her left thumb! She's on this site, and now I can go and tickle her!" (picking out a random starlet). Some seem to act as if, if they were onlien here, that suddenly they could meet and tickle them at NEST or some other gathering. They are all just people, like us (at least they were before the 'fame virus' bit them.....).

webster, if you're still around, please let me be the first to say that this is a nice topic for discussion. You've opened up the topic, some of us shared our opinions on it that sounded positive, while others sounded negative. Regardless, it's correctly pointed out that everyone has something to say about it.

In my opinion a subject with a nice share of both positive/negative arguments/comments make for an excellent thread worthy of living on for a long time. After all, the thread was opened for discussion and that's what everyone's doing. As it stands, the thread has already lasted for 7 pages which speaks for itself. I've seen some of my own threads get buried with less than a few replies.

Back on topic, I see the possibility of celebrities visiting fetish sites like this one. It might cause a stir when the public finds that out, but that's because they are well known and tend to get a whole lot of different judgements of character by the public. So opinions of such a "discovery" of their lifestyle can have really different extremes. The media's frequent labelling of famous figures also helps little in this area.

For me, if a famous person does indeed turns out to be a TT member, I wouldn't be too surprised, after all, they're still human and have needs and fetishes. They too want to discuss it with like minded individuals. It's not like the entire famous persons scene are filled with ticklephiles that readily discuss it with each other. Then again, I wouldn't know about that 😀

wow. This is a really good thread. And webster has a very good point, why wouldn't there be celebrities on here? Celebrities got to have fetishes too. Come to think of it, I never thought of that, I never thought of the possibility of a celebrity being on here. Actually, It wouldn't surprise me one bit if there was one. However, if there is a celebrity on TT, I highly highly doubt that person will reveal themselves. Think about it; let's say Carrie Underwood was on here and she revealed herself; she would get about 500 messages a day. Not only that, I can almost guarantee someone on here's gonna tell the world that she is on here, mainly because they figure it'll make the fetish more popular and accepted by more people.
The chances of there being a celebrity member on here are tremendous, however, just because there is probably one doesn't mean you're ever gonna be able to meet that person let alone tickle them.
