Fantasy Baseball Trade Offer

For all you members who have fantasy baseball teams, I'd like some input on the trade offer I received today. I am in a 12 team mixed league. This deal only involves pitchers and the 5 categories in the league for pitching are Wins, Saves, Strikeouts, ERA and WHIP (walks + hits per innings pitched). I was offered Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander for Fausto Carmona. Scherzer is 0-2 with the D'backs in 19.1 IP since being called up, but has about a 3:1 K:BB ratio, 2.33 ERA, 1.19 WHIP. Verlander has been a disaster this year with a record of 1-7, ERA over 6, almost 1.5 WHIP, and a 33:24 K:BB ratio. So I'd be buying very low on Verlander. Carmona has been a mixed bag for me. He is 6-1, with an era near 2, but his strikeouts are way down and his WHIP is about 1.5, although he's looked better recently. I worry that Verlander would really hurt my ERA and WHIP for a little while until he hopefully becomes dominant again.

I'm inclined to think this trade is pretty good. Anyone have any opinions.
