Just wondering how many other TMF members play fantasy baseball. I have a suspicion it'd be enough for quite a few leagues, but I think the TMF should have their own.

Any takers?

You know I'm not that well versed in it, but I'd be willing to give it a shot, since many played fantasy football in the TMF Leagues, I would be willing to show how little I know about baseball and give it a go. Count me in.

Alright, sounds like a good group so far. Any preference as to site?

Most leagues won't start until March, I guess, so we got some time.
 
Yahoo is probably best for it. Familiar use, and free.

That is what I would suggest.

Alright, so Yahoo baseball is up and running.

I've got us set up for a league. Send me a PM to get the info on it.

Right now, the Live Draft is scheduled for Sunday, February 22, at 5:30 PM. This can be changed, so if it doesn't work for a majority of us, we'll find a new time.
 
Basically send me your email address in a PM, and I'll send you an invite for the group. I maxed out the teams for the league at 16, figuring we'll never get that many.

I was going to push the draft back a week or two, but I don't see a way of doing that. Maybe I'm blind.

If we're still at 4 teams tomorrow, I'll open it up for public consumption.

Go into the Commissioner's tools and where is say live draft change it to auto draft. Then Change it back to live draft and change the date to like March 25th. This way it gives people time to promote it. There are baseball fans out here.
 
Thanks for the help. Our draft has been pushed back to March 8, I believe. Let's see if we can get some more members.
 
Firstly, I'd like to play if you pm me the info.

Secondly, if you can change the draft time to any date before the regular season, I don't understand why you don't choose a date in the last week or so of March to allow maximum time to fill out the league.

Be more aggressive than this. Post in tickling discussion; sure it'll get deleted but a lot more people will see it before it goes.

Even better start looking through old baseball threads and see who routinely posts on these topics. Start sending out personalized pm's inviting these people to the league. Don't wait for them to find this thread or read your blog. I only checked the sports forum today because fantasy baseball was specifically on my mind, otherwise I'd likely have missed the thread entirely.
