I was thirteen back in 1980, and my dad and I were at the mall looking for my mom's mothers day gift. I ordered one of those giant cookies from the cookie factory.
To kill time, my dad suggested a movie (we went every weekend to the matinees). he picked an interesting-sounding movie called....Friday the 13th.
When the girl in the shower stall turns around and gets the axe in the face, I jumped about five feet outta my seat. I loved it🙂
Ironically, Jason didn't debut till Part II, which i didn't see until they showed it on tv (which i remember being a big, hyped event at the time).
