favorite batman...

Only saw the new a while ago

I must say I was impressed with Bale's Batman, but his voice really irritated me, its too much with the tone dropping. But the character that shocked me the most was Heath Ledger, I was very prejudiced before because I had seen him in Casanova, A Knight Tale, etc and he didn't strike me as a villain. But in the new movie, its the first time the Joker actually scares me as a villain, I didn't even recognise Ledger. It was an a stellar performance, Maggie Gyllenhaal was beter suited in this movie than Katie Holmes.
I feel Aaron Eckhart wasnt that good as Twoface.

As to favourite Batman, Keaton and Bale play the parts the best.

Ooh, for me it's a toss-up between three big ones:

Christian Bale, in all his dark, gritty glory (I don't even mind the growl!); the animated Batman, voiced by Kevin Conroy; and the Batman from the Arkham series of video games, who is also voiced by Kevin Conroy. That series is pure awesome--it's true to the comic versions of characters in some ways, and yet allows them to differ just enough to make them special and fresh for new fans.

My favorite Batman actor: Michael Keaton (with Christian Bale as close second).

My favorite Batman voice actor: Kevin Conroy (hands down).

My favorite Rogue's Gallery villain actor: Heath Ledger as the Joker.

My favorite Rogue's Gallery voice actor: Mark Hamill all the way baby!

We all need to agree to keep Clooney away from the role forever! Ugh, that Bat Credit Card will haunt my nightmares for the rest of my life! 🙁

My favorite, of course, is Conroy. I'm in my upper 20's, and that little voice in my head saying "there's a better way" is still his! Likewise Hamill is always going to be the Joker in my head, though I'll always be grateful to Richard Epcar for playing the Joker and not trying to play Hamill, because nobody else could be Hamill. Taking the character in a slightly different, yet recognizable direction, was definitely the best way to go.

Heheh, a fan of Magnum P.I. I see. Or am I reading to much into it?

Though I gotta admit, I don't use Batman as a moral guide. Mostly because you eventually have to realize that he's probably so obsessed with being Batman that he's willing to lock the Joker up in a place that does no good to rectify the Joker's madness and then wait a while while twiddling his thumbs until the Joker escapes again. Batman is apparently just as trapped in this cycle as the Joker is.

I mean, he's not an idiot. He's got an IQ of over 200+! He has to realize there are other ways to deal with his Rogue's Gallery. The Justice League has access to some of the most powerful technology / arcane forces on the planet! From Dr. Fate and Zatanna's powers to Starlab's Technology to Superman's Kryptonian Nanotech, there are ways Bruce can undo the Joker's insanity.

What does he do instead though? Locks them up and waits for them to escape. I don't like Batman for how he handles his Rogue's Gallery. Rather, I liked how he worked with the Justice League in stopping things like alien invasions and Darkside from enslaving humanity. Batman's best portrayal is, in my opinion, probably his Justice League Unlimited portrayal.
