What was everyones absolute favorite Christmas Present ever? I don't want to hear any bullshit about some extra time you got to spend with a relative or friend. To me that stuff is a given on a holiday. I'm not a materialistic person.
It can be small, big, weird, touching or whatever.

Mine is Fighting Steel a naval warfare simulation that was released in 1998. It was total junk then. A group of guys called Naval Warfare Simulations got together as a labor of love and started updating and improving the game. They do it FREE!!. In 2001 I found them and I'm now on their staff as a free consultant. I do research and recommend historical improvements to the game. Over the last 3 years it's provided me countless hours of enjoyment!

Oooooo.....that is a tough one.....I'd have to go with a pair of leather gloves I got several years ago. *Gets stared at* YES GLOVES!!! I'm sorry, I live in the ever cold and wintry state of Connecticut, and those gloves have saved my hands more times than I can count. Plus, they make me look like a hit man. 😀

I guess sometimes it's the little things that really do matter most.

Very nice question, Neutron...

In 1986, my ex-husband and I gave ourselves a chocolate lab puppy for Christmas. When we arrived at the farm where the puppies were, a cute yellow lab puppy was running around on the porch. We had planned to get a chocolate one, but the yellow one was so cute! The owners invited us in, and said they now only had one chocolate one left, as someone else had come and gotten one of the chocolate ones in the two hours it had taken us to drive to the farm.

The wife went to get the puppy, and I was still debating if I should say that I really liked the yellow puppy on the porch. The woman walked back into the room with a chocolate female puppy, set her down on the floor, and the puppy attempted to sit...but her little belly was so round that she promptly rolled over onto her side! (Kind of like a chocolate lab Weeble!)

My dear puppy dog is now playing ball with God: she's holding the tennis ball in her mouth, barking WITH the ball in her mouth, refusing to give it up, and I'm sure God is saying, "But...I'm GOD! You HAVE to drop the ball!" But she won't. 🙂 :dog:

Happy, merry, everyone! :grouphug:

it's hard to figure out what the best present i've been given was...but my favorite one was this box a friend of mine made for me...she converted an old hat box...took the time to paint it and decorate it and then put little things into it...it's absolutely beautiful...that is my favorite gift

What a touching story. I am a fellow dog lover and can appreciate it. I remember I was given a german shepard puppy when I was a teenager (this wasn't a X Mas gift, but, nonetheless, I still consider it the best gift I ever got). She was truly my dog. Unfortunetely, the story doesn't have a happy ending cuz she went WAY before her time. When she went, a part of me went with her.

Oohhh let me think.................

.....A TVR Griffith 500. Probably the only truly British owned and made sports car still in production. Looks great, goes like shit off a shiny shovell and sounds like the dogs bollocks!!! Have a proper crimbo every one!!! "Proper Bo! ah tell thee!!"

Two years ago I got a jacket from my sister and brother in law I tried it on and it was a perfect fit right away Probably my favorite light jacket off all time It's one of those hooded zip up sweatshirt type that has some extra lining in it

It would have to be the year that Santa came to our house for me and the neighbor kids and I got a Rainbow Brite doll which I absolutely HAD to HAVE. I still have it. She will go in my classroom someday. Second place, the year I got Kid Sister(the doll not a sibling)oh, the memories!!!

There's so many to choose from....

1) Ricochet Racers

2) Remember the giant Shogun Warriors toys? I got GODZILLA!

3) Erector Set. Still got it, too. All metal parts, motor, etc.

4) Tyco race track. My favorite car was the "Shadow".

5) Stretch Armstrong. The original.

6) Smash Em Up derby cars. My brother got the Classy Crasher cars.

7) And Legos. Not the current, fancy dan specific sets....the original "big honking box of legos". Had those FOREVER. Until mom gave them to my nephews, who eventually GAVE THEM AWAY AT A GARAGE SALE:rant: Not that I'm bitter about it or anything.....
