Just want to know you guys favorite comic book when you were a kid. My favorite and you probably don't remember this one but there was one out called The Fox and the Crow. The theme was every time either the fox or the crow would do something to the other and then in the next issue the other one would get even. Of course I read Superman, Batman, Spiderman and most of the popular ones but I enjoyed the Fox and the Crow the best. (Wish I had kept them, they would have been worth a mint now!)

By a length, The Fantastic Four, with The Mighty Thor and The Amazing Spiderman in second and third place. I loved the FF for the imagination and drama, and the complex characterizations (though I certainly wouldn't have expressed it in those terms back then). Thor just had a cool look and a powerful, poetic way of speaking. (He probably planted the seed for my future love of Shakespeare.) And Spidey...well, how can you not love Spidey?
After this glorious triumvirate, my favorite series was probably Classics Illustrated , a series that pretty faithfully retold the great works of literature in comic book form. I remember these editions were my introduction to Moby Dick, Mutiny on the Bounty, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and many others.
