What are TMF sports fans favorite sports books. They can be recent or older books, and from any sport.

For me..

Dodger Dogs To Fenway Franks. Bob Wood, from 1988. Mr Wood did the thing my friend Adam and I have always dreamed of, and talked about, as Mr Wood took a driving trip to every baseball stadium in the summer of 1985.

Traveling. the NBA road. John Nordhal. Mr Nordhal actually did his trip twice, to every NBA arena.

A Magic Summer. Stanley Cohen, 1986. A book about the 1969 Mets, with a day by day unfolding of the season for the team, as well as interviews with the members of the 1969 Mets, by Mr Cohen, where the players reminisced about the season.

Those are just a few of my favorites.

Other thoughts on this?

Mils. That sounds awesome. I understand why you wouldn't want to sell the book on Koufax.

John Feinstein has written a number of great books related to golf. My favorite is called Open which is the story of the return of the U.S. Open to Bethpage Black in the New York area. Great read for golf fans.

The Damned United, a soccer book (fiction) on Brian Clough's spell as manager of Leeds.

& Four Kings, telling the story of the 4 middleweight legends, Hagler, Hearns, Duran & Leonard
