Since Giantfan hinted at it, and since U2 is my favorite band, I figured I'd start a thread on your favorite U2 songs....

Mine is "Lady with the Spinning Head," which is an obscure B-side to the "One" single and was featured on the second disc of the limited edition Greatest Hits: 1990 - 2000 album.

I like almost everyone of them, I do like pride and where the streets have no name...

Where to begin? How bout with a few less common choices:

The Unforgettable Fire
Gone
Drowning Man
Zooropa
Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me
Please
The Fly

Y'know what....this could go on all day 😀

(hopefully this won't get edited)

My favorite U2 tunes:

"Gloria"
"I Fall Down"
"Bad"
"One Tree Hill"
"Surrender"

One of the few groups that formed in the 80's which actually stuck around after one album.

My favorite song is

"Gloria"

followed by "I will follow"

The ones I'm going to pick are a bit more recent than the ones some listed here. (At least I think they are!) My favorite U2 song is "Beautiful Day", followed by "Mysterious Ways". Iam sure there are probably others I could list, but those are two of my favorites, even if they are a bit more recent.

what song was it that they sang on the NYC 9/11 tribute. It moved me.

Cant name an actual fave song singled out..but I can say my most faves are all the in studio recorded stuff on the "Rattle And Hum" LP which in my oppinion was their last decent LP..after that they fell into sellout status and went alternative/modern grunge type music..of corse minus the Luciano Pavarotti on crack voice that all those dumb grunge bands use..but hey, I know they did it for the money and Bono and crew still has my most high respect😉

Crydun... the 3 songs they did during the Superbowl halftime show of 2002 were "Where the Streets Have No Name" "MLK" and "Beautiful Day." "MLK" was the song that was the main tribute to 9/11 in that performance, and it originally was written as a tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr. Another song that is often used as a "9/11" tribute by them is "Peace on Earth."
