The film takes place during the American Civil War...what didn't happen during those years, so many unimaginable stories and strange events in all corners of the country...it's quite possible that Jo March's could have found herself in such a very difficult situation, where a feather near her bare feet would have made her laugh uncontrollably without the ability to stop it! Or maybe she wanted it somewhere deep inside herself? 😶
