Featherfingers,

I have noticed that you and I have an interest in practicing reflexology in common. I have been studying it since 9th grade. I took it up because of my love for feet and tickling, but actually find it to be a legitimately fascinating form of treatment as well. Anyway, I know that you and I must both have great stories about times that we have practiced reflexology on people. Let's give the group a treat and trade them back and forth. By the way, I'm not official or anything, I just serve friends and some others that I can convince to let me practice on them.

I'll start it off with a short story about my first patient:

When I was in 9th grade, our next door neighbor, Diane, was a stay at hom mom. She was probably 27 or so at the time. I used to go to their house when I forgot my keys or something so they were used to having me around. I finally checked out a reflexology book at the public library. I then got up the guts to ask Diane if she would help me practice. She asked me what I needed her to do and I said, "I just need your feet." Her feet were about a size 6 or smaller (she was only about 5'1"). Her toes were really short and she wore no nailpolish at that time.

Then I started with the now time tested technique that I've used to incorporate tickling into reflexology into tickling for almost 20 years now. I explained to her that I would stimulate the soles of her feet with the tips of my thumbs and that the places where her feet were most sensitive were where I would begin pressing on the pressure points. I held her little foot on my lap and slowly stroked my thumbs upward from her hells to her toes. She got a big smile on her face and was obviously trying not to break. I was very nervous and just kept slowly tickling.

I didn't develop the second technique of telling the patient that limiting their natural reaction only prevented the natural stress relief from working. This move caused many future patients, including Diane, to open up and laugh freely as I stroked their feet. During this first ever session, Diane did a lot of squirming and saying that it tickled, but only laughed out loud a couple of times. I probably had 30 more sessions with her until I went off to college and she eventually would display a great laugh to go along with that smile.

I got most of the female neighbors, two female teachers of mine, and many fellow students at college and law school. I'll trade stories with you as long as you want. I wish I could still do it, but my wife knows what tickling actually means to me and would not be happy with me tickling other women. THat means I could only do it in the rare case where I would be guaranteed that she would never find out.

Bring the stories Featherfingers!!

Hey, Questions!

I'd be happy to share my stories with you but my sessions require me to be a complete professional, since I do Reflexology as a profession...and 95% of my clients are older retired folks so I'd think twice before I'd tickle any of them.

However, I could tell you a thing or two about some of the things I did before I became professional and had the 'code of ethics' seared into my brain.

I was introduced to a lady by a friend. Her name was (to protect the innocent I will use a fake name) Daphne Goodbody. Man, she was an Amazon! She must have been three inches taller than me! She looked like a cross between Susannah Hoffs and Fran Drescher... without the annoying laugh. Her friend told her that I give really good foot massages so Daphne was intrigued. She sat down in my La Fuma Reclining Chair and I put some oil in my hands and began slathering it all over her feet. (I forgot to mention that her boyfriend Horace Manoor was in the same room) As I began massaging her feet she and I made small talk and I pretty much behaved like a gentleman. I had just met her anyway. I finished working on her and then we said our goodbyes... and that was that...

...until I got a phone call from her the next day. Daphne told me that she was very aroused by what I did but she couldn't express it because her boyfriend was there. She wanted to know if I could come by her place and do a REAL treatment. Now, I wouldn't accept that kind of proposal today no matter how tempting it would be. I'd be out of a job if I were caught in a compromising situation. Back then, however, I was so excited about the prospect of massaging her feet that I threw caution to the wind.

This time I turned the lights down low and played the CD she handed me... the one by Enigma with the song "Sadeness". As I began touching her feet she grinned a little and told me how much of a turn on it was to have her feet touched. I kept on massaging and then I became bolder. I began lightly caressing her soles. She flashed a big smile and began caressing my fingers with her toes. I was a happy guy! I did little spider tickles all over her feet; up and down her legs and then in a moment of passion, she kissed me! I bent down to kiss her as she lay on the reclining chair... our lips met and we passionately kissed until... boom! The reclining chair she was seated on broke and she and I fell onto the floor! We had a good laugh about that.

It turns out that she and her boyfriend were breaking up so I was able to visit her many times after that. She ended up leaving Tucson for Las Vegas and I haven't seen her since. It was about a year later that I began doing Reflexology professionally.

Questions, for Questions...

Questions, just so I have this down right... you admit to using a recognized and legitimate healing practice as a cover for using women for sexual gratification, and, on top of that, you admit your willingness to do so outside of your marriage as long as your wife wouldn't find out?

There are recognized "governing boards" of reflexology in many nations, including the United States, Great Britain, Canada, and China. There are a number of critical health concerns these bodies warn people about with regards to reflexology, including the duration of a session, avoiding undue pressure on certain bones, not practicing on people with certain health problems, how long to avoid eating before or after a session, even the strong suggestion that a certain amount of water be drunk... the amount varies, depending upon a person's health and the presence (or absence) of certain conditions... a certain length of time after a session.

Did you tell any of your "clients" about these issues? You say you've been studying reflexology since "ninth grade..." Were you even aware of them? The people who believe in the effectiveness of reflexology, as you claim to yourself, warn others about such matters. If the nerves in your hands and feet correspond with other areas of the body, and can affect certain health conditions, as some very large and reputable studies have suggested, it isn't out of the realm of possibility that, like any other health-related practice, reflexology could cause harm if misused.

I'm glad Azrael brought all of that up. Reflexology, like other modalities, needs to be taken seriously. It's effects backfired on me, once...

One time I went to work on a lady and the session started out fine. As the minutes passed, I began feeling a bit strange. I couldn't explain it. Then the lady told me that she was feeling ill and that I should stop the session. She paid me and I went home... and ran into the bathroom to throw up. Was it negative energy? Was it some energy exchange between she and I? To this day I'm not 100% sure why I got sick while working on her. My reflexology teacher told us that we needed to put up a 'shield' around us while working on people. I found out why that night.

On the other hand, I worked on a lady who was supposed to die the very night I went to work on her. Her friend told me, "Don't be surprised if she dies while you're working on her." The lady had cirrhosis of the liver and looked like a corpse when I got there...she was sort of a yellow-green (jaundiced, I would say). I began working on her, watching her breathe, just in case... her nurse was down the hall. To make a long story short, I found out that the next day the lady's natural color had returned and she was up walking around and talking to people. She ended up dying about a week later, but I'd like to think that maybe my session helped her live a little while longer.
