Responding to the thread in the tickling discussion forum about the shoes that make people think of tickling set me thinking.
Tiffany mentioned going almost a whole day at school before her assistant pricipal ordered her out of her barefoot sandals into something with a sole on them. In a nightclub recently, I met a highly attractive teacher whose sandals showed her vampish scarlet toenail varnish. She told me the college authorities would frown on her wearing that combination of colour and shoe in the lecture room, pesumably - she thought - because it would be deemed inappropriately provocative. So she'd have to change or remove the colour, or wear a more closed shoe. Or wear Argyll socks with her sandals.
Well, obviously it would be provocative for me and many of the like-minded folks on these forums, but here's my question. Has anyone got into trouble or been cautioned over the appropriateness of their footwear (or lack of same), for example as a student or in the workplace? Or a shop, restaurant, place of worship, etc?
Peace,
John.
