I think it largely depends on what you hope to gain from using it.
I use fetlife from time to time and in my experience it seems to be excellent for making contact with people who are local to you (UK for me), thus raising the potential of arranging some fun meets. I've come across at least 10 people (guys and girls) literally on my doorstep, which I'm sure I'd never come across so easily on TMF.
From what I've seen, people get (and I hate to use this term) 'snapped up' quite quickly and often profiles go from 'keen to get to know people for potential meets' to 'I am happily engaged in sessions with x or y and do not wish to meet with anyone else right now', so if you're looking to arrange 1-1 meets then I think it takes a certain amount of willingness to share the fetish with a wider demographic/geographic, rather than being ultra specific about who you want to enjoy tickling with, otherwise you may find others beat you to it if you don't get in early, or get lucky and encapsulate everything a potential lee wants to here in the first message you send them.
Don't get me wrong though, this must be a good thing, as it means some excellent play (or more) relationships have developed on there.
I've not seen much in the way of group munches being organised on there, but I've not been using it for that long - I've seen general fetish parties/dungeons promoted on there quite a bit though.
I've never experienced anything other than politeness, respect and interesting conversation on fetlife and most users fill out their profile really well, so you know exactly where you stand and therefore everyone has the right to expect other users to respect this.
I'd also say there is much less chance of coming across any fakes on there.
