Ok, this thread might not make any sense. Bear with me.
Everything in the universe is supposed to have some kind of balance, or counterpoint. There are always trade-offs: you avoid working on a project, you gain leisure at the expense of your work. You drop a stone into bucket filled with water, the water is displaced outside of the bucket. You use an intricate doubled-up pulley system to lift a heavy object, the object becomes easier to lift but doesn't lift as far.
I was randomly musing about this philosophy and whether or not it could apply to fetishes. Vanillas are aroused by common sexuality, they can therefore find compatible sexual partners with relative ease. Fetishists like us are aroused by narrow, specific circumstances, and therefore find partners with relative difficulty.
What if there's a payoff, though?
Do you think it's possible that that the things which arouse vanillas arouse them less than fetish things do fetishists? Maybe, since our sexual stimulants are abnormal, we're also aroused by them an inordinate amount?
Summary: Do you think it's possible that the payoff for having a deviant sexuality is that your arousal is more intense than the arousal of someone with a standard sexuality?
(Apologies, this thread is not very scientific)
