Too soon for another hell-themed scenario? Let’s set the scene: as Dante describes in The Divine Comedy, Hell is divided into a series of levels—circles—each one reserved for sinners guilty of a particular vice, where they serve out their eternal sentence. The fifth circle is home to the slothful, who are completely submerged in a kind of swamp, unable to escape, essentially spending eternity the same way they spent their lives: doing absolutely nothing.
A bit harsh just for being lazy, don’t you think?
Well… with Mr. Dante’s permission, my idea would basically be the opposite: if you spent your life glued to the couch, how about spending eternity trying to figure out how to finally get up from it? Complete with your very own motivational coach. 😋
