If you ask me the answer is yes, David Stern to me have lost touch with what the NBA is all about and Im not just speaking as a Mavericks fan who feels his team is being picked on by Stern because he and Mark Cuban have butted heads in the past. Its a new era and David Stern seems to be making rules just to show he has power one and two to show that its his league and he can do what he wants when he wants.
It may just be time for new blood in the commissoner's office, someone who understands the way the game has changed and how its played, to understand how hip hop and the NBA are contected and not try to turn off younger fans and try to reactract the older NBA fans. The game is great there's nothing like from the energy to the excitment to the over all fun, but if David Stern doesnt change things to make it even better and makes rules just make rules and to abuse his power, then it might be time for a change.
