I attended a party recently. It had been a long day and after I while I found myself sitting on a couch just people watching. After a while a petite lovely (5'3, Winona Ryder type) I had talked with earlier sat down on the ottoman that was sort of in front of me and was watching something on the TV. She made some comments about the show and I responded with a comment that didn't agree with her opinion. Now, she was a sassy little thing and she started in on me about it. This sparring went on for a while and eventually the 'ler in be bubbled to the surface and I threatened to poke her in the ribs if she didn't lighten up. She didn't seem at all phased by my suggestion and made some comment like, "Why would that scare me". So I told her I'd get her with both hands if a poke wasn't sufficient. She just sort of looked at me like with this "so why would I care" expression on her face. Maybe she wasn't ticklish flashed in my head... awwh hell.

I moved forward with my hands extended in menacing fashion but stopped short of touching her but well within easy striking distance. Again, she didn't seem phased. Her expression and body language was not that of someone the least bit worried about being tickled. She made some smarty-pants remark and I warned her I was about to grab her ribs. She seemed unconcerned so I went after her ribs with both hands. She burst out laughing, bent over forward and scooted off the ottoman trying to get away from me but I followed her down and continued for maybe 5-10 seconds more. After I stopped and backed away she remained on the floor and giggled for a few seconds. She regained her composure and said something to the effect of "My god, that was weird, what did you do?" I told her, "I tickled you, silly." She said, "Oh". Our conversation continued...

Now, here's the weird part... she's 22 years old and, based on our conversation, she said she's never been tickled before. She claimed I'm the first person to have ever tickled her ribs. Of course, I thought she was kidding. I raised the BS flag but she still insisted she'd never been tickled before. Long story short, this person had no idea where or if she was ticklish and for the next hour or so we played around with me "discovering" her spots. I'd never seen anything like it... she really had no fear or reservation when I put my hands on her knees, stomach or told her put up her arms so I could get to her underarms--no hesitation at all. Of course, she wiggled away from me almost immediately. When I asked if her feet were ticklish she just shrugged. I put out my hand requesting her foot and removed her shoe and sock. Again, no fear or hesitation just a curious look on her face... not even a twitch as my fingers neared her foot which turned out to also be very ticklish. She was a blast to play with and she thought being tickled was fun. Unfortunately, she was seeing someone so I'll probably never get a chance to play with her again... damnit!

Could this be possible? Was she yankin' my chain? Could someone reach 22 years of age and have never been tickled? Her body language and expressions didn't look like someone toying with me. I'd expect at least a smirk, coy smile or some minor hesitation if they really knew what was coming.

I think either she's a great actress or she was raised by strict parents who frowned upon excess physical contact. Apparently, the person she's seeing isn't into tickling either. Pity. 🙁 But at least you introduced her to it, marcusb! Thanks for posting about your experience. 🙂

I dated this girl when I was 19 (she was too). One time I had her pinned on the floor with her arms over her head. She was wearing one of those great sleeveless tops with a knot tied right under her breasts baring her belly. I tickled her armpits and she went out of her mind. When I let her go, she put her hands under her own arms and said that no one had ever tickled her there before. I was floored.

I had found, that since this was new territory for her, that her sensitivity was off the scale. Needless to say, my fingers were under her arms every chance I got.

I think it could be true that she was unaware of her ticklishness and had not really been tickled. I gradually became aware that I was extremely ticklish over a long period of time. I am an only child who grew up in a conservative environment where there was little physical touching. Furthermore, I was big and strong for my age so I could fend off those trying to tickle me. I did know I was at least somewhat ticklish because my grandfather would always squeeze tickle my thighs, etc. when I was a small boy, but I did not realize that I was very ticklish all over, with extremely ticklish areas that I had not even realized were ticklish, until I was married.

THANK YOU for doing that instead of just poking her out of the blue. With all the jerks out there that don't give a damn about consent giving men a bad rap, I'm glad some of us can find ways to remain gentlemen AND get some action at the same time.

Seems very plausible to me. I see a lot of people who are deprived of affectionate touch growing up. It's rather sad. I know a guy who is about 29 and in his family they don't even hug each other!

She also might have been tickled when she was very little, but doesn't remember it.

I can attest that it is very possible that she was telling the truth. I myself had not been tickled until last year and I am 46 yrs old. It was never in my family, my parents were not very affectionate or touching kind of people. I never had aunts or uncles that tickled me. It wasnt until I started exploring it and came here that it happened. And from the sounds of her first reactions when you "threatened" her its probably legit. I would have done the same thing. I used to say "I don't know" all the time.

Wow, that's impressive. I can see how the probability of being randomly tickled would go down with age, but that's still in impressive number.
What happened last year, if you don't mind telling? What did that first tickle feel like?
