After seeing a snippet of this film in Werner Herzog's documentary "My Best Fiend", I'm pretty convinced Klaus Kinski tickles Claudia Cardinale. As I recall, Kinski is lounging in a hammock on board the steamer he is trying to have hauled over a hill. Claudia Cardinale comes in and is trying to console him or something and he suddenly pulls her on top of him and, if her shrieking is any indication, tickles her in the ribs. I'm wondering if this was scripted or improvised. Can anyone else verify this was in fact a tickling scene?

Go to the 0:37:06 mark for the start of the scene. You will see Klaus Kinski's left hand on Claudia's shoulder and then he moves it down out of sight and she suddenly squirms and laughs. Unfortunately, the camera then cuts to a pet ocelot (?) watching them and you hear Claudia shriek again and laugh. So much of what goes on afterwards is out of sight. Still, it's nice to hear Claudia laughing like that!
