Flacco Signs Historic Contract

So Joe Flacco is not going anywhere for a While.

He and the Ravens have agreed on a Contract. 6 Years, 120.6 Million Dollars.

Making Him the Highest Paid Player in NFL History.


Do you think he deserves more than Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rogers and Drew Bress?
And how much Pressure does this put on Flacco for the 2013 Season?

I don't think it puts anymore pressure on him whatsoever. He's going to make his money now and it doesn't matter if the Ravens go 19-0 or 0-16.

As far as the amount, while being the largest paid ever, overall I think that picture is going to change. That amount is just a tad over what Drew Brees makes now. Brees has won a superbowl and the Saints really haven't done much since. If the Packers or Pats win another bowl in the next one or two years, Flacco's contract will get passed with an even higher one to Brady or Rodgers (or even Brees should the Saints win one).

So while his contract may seem huge now, imo overall it's not going to last long. Keep in mind it's over six years and qbs will be making a lot more six years from now.

Even if the Ravens tank in the toilet next season, he still gets his 20 mil paycheck!

He's a football player, nothing else! He won't bring peace on earth, fix the global economy (although he damn sure fixed his personal economy), or discover the cure for cancer. He throws a football down-field for 20 million a year!

Gotta love Americans and our priorities.....🙄
