For clarification very few people actually get the flu during "flu season". Usually just a really bad cold. 😛

I don't know what mean "flu" or "flu season". In Venezuela there isn't seasons. Could anybody, please explains it to me?. Thanks in advance. 😉 :happy:

The flu is short for 'influenza' which is a really nasty infection that makes you sick and sore and feeling miserable for days and days.
Sort of like having a really bad cold but your body is also aching and you can't get out of bed. While most people call a real bad cold 'the flu' fortunately most people have the flu very very rarely or may never get it at all.
Flu "season" refers to this colder time of the year when your body may be more prone to illness.
And that, my friend, is the short history of the flu.

Oh this is no cold. I can tell you that for certain. I have all the symptoms of the Flu and none of the over the counter medicine has helped other than temporarily* numbing the problems. The flu is a virus, and there is no cure for it other than to let it run its course. The vaccine doesn't work either while you're sick so you have to wait until you're better until you can have it. I'm about to down a double dose of this super strength prescription cough medicine which will knock me out for awhile.

By the way, if you happen to have the flu this season please try to stay away from the elderly or small children. There have been several deaths for those age groups this year due because of the flu virus. If you want proof read this information site:
