Foot Peels

Vacation prep is always fun around here. My wife tends to put a little extra into pampering her feet and to my benefit, they always end up just a little more ticklish for a while! This year is no exceptions but honestly this year might be a little more than most.

About a week ago, my wife used this product called “Baby Foot”. It’s a foot peel. Basically, you slide your feet in these plastic booties full of gunk and it EVENTUALLY removes all the dead skin from your feet. Well, for the last week, not a damn thing has happened, but tonight when she got out of the shower it was like somebody cracked a hard boiled egg. All the dead skin started flaking off revealing new, super soft pink skin. I would post a picture, but quite honestly, it’s disgusting lol.

I kind of feel like the end result is going to be some more ticklish than normal soles for my wife and I am kinda excited lol.

Anybody used or had a Lee use this stuff or anything similar?

Swing past the beach next week. I’ll hold her legs for you! 😉

Never used it but there’s a myriad of such videos on YouTube. Some share disappointing results (not much flaking), where most look like they’ve just killed their feet, from the amount of dead skin that finally falls off.
Definite baby, pink soles afterwards. Let us know how it’s affected her, please! Once your fingers have a break. Sure they’ll be far too busy for the next while helping pamper your wife’s new feetsies. 😉

I sure will! I told her to do it sooner. From what I have read it is going to peel for a few days and she wanted it done before we hit the beach, buuut she is going to buy a pumice stone today and hope for the best! I am actually impressed with how well the thing worked.

Two friends expressed greater sensitivity after using foot masks.

Keep in mind that the peeling can take quite a while, so expect about a week's hiatus from foot play. Also, the instructions tell you not to manually assist the peeling. If you do, in some cases, you can wind up pulling up a connected piece of skin that's still firmly attached / not dead. That can hurt and leave a bit of a skin tag that you'll have to clip or sand down.

Questions for you/your wife: 1. Does this hurt at all to use? 2. How long before the "hard boiled egg" thing happened? 3. Does the skin peeling off come off all at once or over a period of several days/weeks? Is she supposed to continue using the "gunk" after the peeling begins?

Sigh, my feet especially heels are pretty rough and the pumice stone isn't making much differece; I would be willing to try this if it's not painful or doesn't result in weeks of nasty looking halfway-peeled soles.

I have some questions for you. Do you walk barefoot a lot? Wear flip flops a lot? If you do, you'll have to take continuing action on your feet to have any hope of getting them nice. You can't keep contributing to the problem and expect them to get/stay nice without a LOT of effort! You can't have it both ways!

So, it’s a one time application. You can google the science behind it if you would like, but basically the kit comes with two booties filled with the peel chemicals. You cut them open and slide your feet in and leave them for 1 hour then wash with soap and water. It took about a week for anything to happen but then it kind of happened all at once. It doesn’t hurt. Based on what I have seen, I wouldn’t use it very often.

Fair warning: you read the reviews and you will see that there are some people that it has 0 effect on. My wife even mentioned that she had done it to a friend at work and that woman had tried it and nothing happened. It works for most but not for all.

Just based on what I have seen I can only imagine that they will feel better once it is done. Your feet will be flaky for a few days and yes, you’re not supposed to help it along...my wife is one of the least patient people I know lol sooooo...try telling her not to help it along. At least you would get some practice talking; but she’s not listening lol

Yes and yes ... I don't really see why it's your business though since you aren't the one I play with. I never said I expect this to permanently change things, but it sounds like a good starting point. I'm sure the winter will make it less tempting for me to go barefoot or wear flip flops 🙄

It's not my business other than to gather data.

Seriously.... Robmic I don't know why you thought you needed to act like a creep toward me in this topic. 😒

joat982 thanks for the information you gave about the product your wife used, hope you have a fun time at the beach.

I recently used the Footner exfoliating product - It started to work pretty quick and bits of skin started coming off in my socks, but it was nothing like some of the pictures/vids you seen on youtube.

There was actually more skin coming off the tops of my feet, not dead skin, just a very think film of skin off the top. I just peeled this off myself.

On the bottoms there wasn't nearly as much as I was expecting - I do use moisturiser and a battery powered thing to go over the heels, so maybe they just weren't that bad to start with.

Nobody has tickled my feet bare since so I can't really say if it's made much difference, but it certainly didn't do any harm!
