Hey everyone, I usually just read the posts, but I gotta question for ya...
Several of my friends have tattoos on the tops of their feet, like a flower or stars and I am considering doing the same, so I was wondering what you think of them. Are they cute? sexy? or do you prefer a totally bare foot?
 
im glad you asked this, because i have always wanted to know and i wanna get a shooting star on the top of my foot, but i dont know how it feel or look after its done..but in my opinion i think they are sexy
 
I think the idea is incredibly hot! Just make sure the design is something you'd want to live with forever... and remember, someday your grandchildren might ask you about it. Flowers and stars are nice. Stay away from anything that looks like something Marilyn Manson might choose.

I also love when women wear ankle bracelets and toe rings, and if you ever consider having mehndi (henna art) done on your feet, please take pictures and post them. Post photos of your tattoos, too! So, yes, go for it!

Bare feet are great, of course, but whether you have a tattoo or not, you'll still be tickled if you're anywhere near me.

Obviously I have a favorable opinion of foot tattoo's...lol. I adore mine. I feel it's very sexy and is a wonderful accessory for the foot, much like a toe ring, only permanent.

As for a design, I chose something near and dear to me....tickling! Mine is two blue feathers, crossed at the quills, united by a heart to represent my love of tickling. It's subtle enough to get people asking (which is always a fun conversation starter!), yet bold enough for those into tickling to guess at it's symbolism. Very fun!

Sinner, my foot tattoo did not hurt any worse than any of my other tattoo's. In fact, it was probably the least painful one I had done. It even tickles at some points, and honestly it's MUCH harder to sit still when it tickles, than it is to sit still when it hurts! So make sure you have someone to keep your leg nice and still for the tat if you decide to get one done.

I'll post one of mine when I get it. Mine is a kind of celtic looking tree that represents the tree of life. Mimi, I don't know how you found it so painless... maybe my feet are bony or something but mine hurt like a b*tch!!! It took an hour and a half and was more painful than any other tattoo or piercing. I like it's sexy though and it means something to me.
 
Ya, this is one (of many) places that would kill me too~I'm a huge baby! I'm trying to work up the nerve to get my first tat (lower back) but I think Mimi's is totally sexy. For now, I decorate my feet with anklets and the permanent gold toe ring. 😛

Mimi i love that tattoo..i think i might have to get one, i got 3 others (2 small ones, 1 on the back of my neck and the other on my shoulder blade and 1 large one across my lower back) none of those tattoos hurt except the lower back one when it spread all they was to my sides, then it got a lil discomfortng, but i have always wanted a foot tattoo and Jester has a foot fetish so he is all for me getting it done..lol..i just worry im gonna twitch, but we shall see...hhmm maybe i should make Jester get that for me for a belated birthday present..lol
 
I think that foot tattoos are very sexy, but not something I'll be getting done any time soon. I also love the ankle bracelet tattoos. I'm way too much of a wus to have either done, so I guess I'll just stick with temporary tattoos, and real ankle bracelets!

Thanks for the input y'all, if and when I get it done I'll post a pic. I already have one on my shoulder that I didn't think was painful, but several people have told me that a foot tattoo hurts a lot more than others. 🙁

As I said, my foot tattoo was one of my least painful. I have 6 total....one on my left calf, one on my right ankle/lower calf, one on my right upper arm, one on my left upper arm, and one just below my collar bone (all aside from my foot tat). And of them all I'd probably rank the foot one as the 2nd least tender to have done.

It may be because my tat artist is one of my best friends and takes special care to make my tattoo's tickle as much as possible just because he knows about my fetish and loves to torture me. Or maybe I just have extremely fat feet...LOL. Either way mine didn't hurt much at all. But trying to take care of it AFTERWARD is a bitch. Since it is so low to the ground it is more exposed to dirt and debris and is more susceptible to infection. So take extra good care of it if you do decide to go through with it.

Ok, well since you asked I'll give you my opinion. - I don't care for them. Being a foot guy I love the smooth skin of a ladies bare foot and I thing a tattoo just takes away from that. I'm fine with tattoos on the ankle, shoulder blade, upper or lower back, etc... some of them look fantastic, but not the feet. I've yet to see one I thought looked good and doubt that I ever will. But that's just me !

Well the whole basis behind most fetishes is symmetry. Ass, breasts, feet, its good if its the same on both sides. I don't really know if a tatoo on the bottom of someone's feet would be hot because I've never seen one. That wouldn't desensitize the foot would it? I wonder if it would tickle going on...
 
Tattoos

I have a tattoo on each ankle and the one that was really detailed was quite painful but I too was thinking about getting one on the foot, it's just a matter of what and where exactly. they are so addicting, I have three total.
 
It's not really feasible for healing purposes. Normal people have to be on their feet at least part of the time and other than your preferred healing solvent (and there are different schools) a tattoo heals best when left alone as there is always scabbing, itching, etc...

Ok babe... I love Mimi to DEATH and she's wonderful but I am amazed her foot tattoo didn't hurt although mine is quite larger. I had mine done by an extremely reputable tattoo artist in Whitehall, MI (he's VERY good with lots of experience if anyone in the area wants the best). He gave me a little Nerf football to hang on to and I cursed the hell out of him t he whole time while my fingernails worked their way through the football. he said that the bones in the tops of my feet are close to the surface because I don't have much fat there, therefore it was quite painful and most others I know thought it was also more painful. The outlining was bad but the filling in isn't so bad the area has numbed quite well by that time. Also excellent advice is to take some Ibuprophen (i.e. Advil, Motrin) about an hour beforehand because it reduces inflammation. One more thing, you NEED to wear shoes or socks as LITTLE AS POSSIBLE during the whole healing process. You can actually take tons of the tattoo off if it is abraded too much while healing. This mean soft cotton over the tat if shoes are necessary and take them off ASAP. I spent about a week bare foot in the summertime while mine healed. Eight years later it still looks great!!!!

Now Steph, I do have one on my lower back and that wasn't bad at all. It stung for about the first five minutes and then numbed quite well.... definitely not a bad place for beginners.... of course I started with one of the most painful ones... lol, I always take the hard road.

Regardless, I hope I've helped you guys with this. I know it was a bit lengthy but I do a lot of research ahead of times. And follow up with the aftercare and don't be afraid to go back or see a doctor if it is unusually inflamed or you are worried about infection.
 
Alrighty, ladies, listen up, please! I just worked on a first time client about an hour ago. The lady has a tattoo of a gecko with it's tail wrapped around the sun on the top of her foot. I remembered this thread so I told her that I've got some friends who are thinking about getting foot tattoos. You know what she told me? (Sorry, Mimi):

She said that the pain was excruciating! She loves the tattoo but could've done without the pain required to get it. Now remember, each person is different. She only has the foot tattoo so she has no way of knowing if tattoos on other body parts are more painful than that or not. I just thought I'd share this with you. By the way, her tattoo looked very nice and I'd still recommend getting one, but only if your pain tolerance level is high.
 
Well, I have little tolerance for pain and my feet are slender (one of the few places~LOL!) so for me, there's no way. I love the look of ankle tattoo as well but for me, that's all bone too so fuggedaboutit! 😀
