Football Pool Withdrawals

Is it just me? Or are all my fellow pool pickers feeling the void? LOL

Don't know what I'll do when the season is over and I don't get to enjoy the drone of the announcer's commentary while I read my Sunday paper!

I particularly enjoy the pre-game exchanges between Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long (aka BucketHead)... those two simply crack me up, the way they feed off of each other is hilarious!

While I agree with maniactickler on a way to distract from football, i will still miss the football season.

I REALLY enjoy TMF's football pool, even more than my fantasy football team stuff.
I will be jumping and screaming as Arizona kills New Orleans and everyone is looking at me like I have 2 heads...

Anyway, yeah, i will miss football season,even moreso because there is no hockey to fill that void.
Hmmm...what is that sport played with the orange ball called? hehe

And, tommytikl... 'Mr. I'm-So-Far-Out-In-The-Lead'... the Cardinals over the Saints? No wonder people would stare! LOL

It's not even so much just the games I miss, it's keeping track of how we all stacked up in the scoring... it's fun to get those friendly competitive juices going! Meem was ALWAYS riding my butt 😀 ... and those really crazy weeks with the upsets and STUPID officiating debacles -- it was comforting to hear commentary from the pool players and to know I wasn't crazy for wanting to wring their necks!

In all seriousness, after the football season ends, the rest of the winter sucks until march, when it starts getting warmer. i just try to pass the time by thinking of ways to help Rio get through this difficult period. :O

Seriously though, I too will miss the football season, and even more, our TMF football pool. I can't thank Dave enough for coming up with the idea and keeping it together for the past 2 years now. It is SO much fun! Even if I DO always lose! *throws chunks of cheese at Beaner for kicking everyones ass*
