Hey there everyone. Hope you had a GREAT summer. But here we are it is September again. That means the pennant races are heating up in baseball and it means hockey is just around the corner. It also means it is time to play football. The NFL kicks off this Thursday. If you want to be involved in the football pool like a year ago, I will put spreads out like a year ago.
Here is the way it will play out:
This is an example: New York Jets -7 @ Detroit
This means that the Jets are favored by 7 points. If you pick the Jets and they win 34-28 you lose that game. If you pick the Jets and they win 35-28 it is a push or a tie. If you pick the Jets and the Lions win the game or the Lions lose by less than 7 points you lose. If that is not clear, let me know. I will track the standings from week to week.
A year ago Sadira won the football pool with a 96-83-3 record. Mz.Chaos finished in 2nd place with a 74-67-3 record. This year you MUST pick at least 10 games per week to qualify. Last year it was 5 games. It was hard to track just 5. I encourage you to play all the games since this is all about having fun. It is not like I am giving away a brand new car guys. I will try to think of a prize for the winner. I haven't gotten that far in my thought process.
So if you are interested, post. I will get the odds for these games and place it in a post later today. Remember please select at least 10 games per week. It makes the book keeping a little easier. Highest winning percentage wins the week unless everyone decides to pick every game. Then I will base it on wins as well as winning percentage.
