Football Standings Week#2

Well week #2 didn't go as good as week one did for some. I did okay but not good enough. I hope we get more people to play over the next couple of weeks.

Anyway our three stars for the week is: Tommytikl who was 10-4-1 ( last year Tommytikl finished off last season 77-85-9 .477 ) rocked everyone and shot to first place. Alchemy was 9-5-1 ( last season was 111-104-9 .511 finishing in 6th place ) gets the second star and the third star belongs to City of Mica who also was 9-5-1. ( Last season City of Mica finished 4th 129-120-12 .517 ). Those are the three stars.

We welcome newcomers Baldadonis, Craziedog, Cy/MiG, Laugh and manic971 who have never played this before. Hopefully you will like the way we play ( or at least get use to it ). It is about us football fans getting together and having fun. NOBODY is winning a million dollars or getting a brand new Corvette because you win this. We are having a good time. Or at least I think we are. Welcome aboard!!!

We welcome back Natural Tickler who last season finished 11th and Bellystrokes who finished in a 16th place tie with yours truly. Last year in week 13 Bellystrokes got out of last place for the first time in two years. The basement missed her the final 10 weeks of the season. It missed her personal touch. But as the old saying goes, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Bellystrokes finds herself fighting from the basement again. Lets look at week #2 and then the overall standings for the season.

How am I still in 5th after my disgraceful performance this week?

After the San Diego fiasco, Pittsburgh unable to score (Big Ben hurt?) and New Orleans failing to play D in the 4th I'm forced to back to the drawing board this coming week...

Luckily, there are alot of potentially one-sided games coming up this week, so I'm hoping the spreads are decent...

First let me say thank you to everyone who played this season. No matter what position you finished this year you were all winners in my book. I had a good time. I hope all of you did too!!! With that, I broke down what everyone did in the playoffs and then I will follow it up with the overall final standings. I felt everyone would want to know how they did in the playoffs as well. As you guys can see 4th place to 12th place were separated by mere percentage points. Last year we had 16 players for the entire season. Only four of them finished over .500 ( 25% ). This year we had 19 qualified players and 12 0f them finished over .500 ( 63% ). That is great improvement. I hope all of you had as much fun as I did this football season. Iggy Pop is our Champion. Congratulations Iggy Pop. The New York Football Giants and NOT the New England Patriots are the Champions of the NFL!!! Thanks for a great season everyone!!!

Oh I have huge plans for my basement. And I suspect some ref from the AFL west is going to be visiting me at least during the play-offs, because his ranking dropped big time over the weekend. Teach him to mess with my team. But as always, you are all invited to drop by and stay there for a bit. heheehe

BTW, we are going to have do without Illtcklu's input this season. Life is busy and getting to a computer on a regular basis and paying attention to the teams/players is going to be a problem. At least that is what he said. I don't get the second party. I haven't paid attention to the teams/players since I started.
