I'm glad somebody came out and picked the Pats before I did, since everybody hates them.
I want to take this opportunity to ask a question that never got answered on the spygate thread. Now, there is no doubt that the Pat's coaching staff has broken some filming rules, but the spotlight is definitely on them now, so you know they will have to be legit this year. Question is, if they come back and kick ass again this year, will that add any legitimacy to their past success at all? I mean, I know cheating takes true legitimacy away, but there have been comments made that basically amount to:
"I always wondered how such mediocre players won all those games"
Well, the same lineup is basically returning, so what if they win it all this year?
As far as the NFC goes, Dallas does look good, but Romo needs to prove himself in a big game.
And if that happens, even I will have to admit that they suck.
The Pats paid a high profile athlete lots of money? How dare they!
Seriously though, they paid Moss more than other receivers because he's the best one they've ever signed. Moss actually took a small pay cut to play in NE.
June 2nd and you want Super Bowl picks??? Come on, get real. How about letting them get to training camp first. You might as well pick the Raiders and Lions right now. Nobody has lost a game yet. So they are ALL winners. This is just WAY too early to be talking about a game that will be taking place in February. Can you gaureentee you will be alive in February??? I know I can't.![]()

Love those Buckeyes. Husband got me hooked on the Bucks once Woody Hayes left the scene. I was a Notre Dame fan growing up.
Let me ask you something... is your pick going to be the same if Brady tears his ACL in training camp and Romo breaks his arm in the last game of pre-season???Yeah seriously....do you think we're the only people talking about the NFL season right now? Its all for fun....but you take your Lions and Raiders Super Bowl pick, and I'll take mine (Pats v. Cowboys) and lets put some money on the line! And its kind of morbid to talk about dying before February!

If it is all in fun why put money on the predictions now??? As far as morbid to talk about dying before February, when would you like to talk about it??? After the football season??? Believe it or not, death is part of life. You might not make it to next week. Then again, you might make it to the 22nd Century, but there is one gaureentee...DEATH. So if Brady gets in a car accident tomorrow and dies are you still laying your money on the Patriots???
My pick is as good as your pick in JUNE. The night before Opening Kickoff my pick will be different. But for June EVERYONE in the NFL is a winner. That is why it is retarded to talk about Super Bowl picks in June. Because who knows, I could be right. In fact, right now I am NOT wrong.Alright dude, forget I ever said anything. You should change your screen name to "buzzkill". And yes, I'd still take my pick over yours even if Brady tears his ACL or Romo breaks his arm because your pick is awful.
As for the death talk, I realize its a guarantee, but why do you have to talk about it at all? This is a sports forum!!!

As far as Buzzkill??? Actually when Sadira and I do the gatherings here in Michigan, I am considered a decent and kind person with a good personality.
As far as talking about death in a Sports Forum...don't people in sports die??? And if so, my point would be you can't escape it.
It's June...is there anything better to do???
Here`s a thought...
Michigan , Ohio St or whoever you choose is great . I have a family member that graduated from Michigan. All he did after that was to did a masters degree from Harvard in international business. I guess the school can`t be that bad.
Uh, we're talking about football here.
I am not from Michigan. I am from New York. I moved to Michigan. I also happen to be with a lady who graduated from The Ohio State University.Your pick is not as good as my pick just because its June. That was supposed to be the point of this thread but you turned it into a mockery of all that is logical. Just because you are NOT wrong doesn't mean you ARE right.
And do you even know what Buzzkill means? It means ruining everyone's good time, which is basically what you're trying to do with your put-downs and death talk. So congratulations on that.
Honestly, how often to people in sports die? Don't try to justify your morbid point of view by trying to tie it to sports. Go start a death thread if you want to talk about dying.
I should have known you were from Michigan. Getting a beat-down from the Buckeyes year after year would probably make me yearn for death as well! O-H!

To answer your question about how often do people die in sports???? Well Sean Taylor died during the football season. Corrct me if I am wrong but a Bronco was killed the same day the season ended. You mean they just disappeared??? No. They died.
Just because I am not wrong...you said it doesn't make me right. You are correct about that. But it does not mean you are right either. You are speculating.
As far as being a buzzkill... I know what it means. Fact is, like I said, I am a nice guy. Life of the party. Sadira and I have these gatherings here in Michigan that you don't attend. Why you haven't attended one??? I don't know. But I have NEVER put anyone down. Also, I don't yearn for death but it is part of life. I am just trying to do my best to educate you. It is a hard job...but somebodies got to do it.
As far as starting a death thread...who would want to do that??? I know I wouldn't. That would be just too weird.
So have you read any good books lately???![]()
