for some reason, I get the feeling that maybe I'm not the only Star Wars fan out here. 😉

Anyhoo, how many of you play Galactic Battlegrounds, the real-time strategy game by LucasArts? It's my favorite game; I play people on the Zone all the time, but I'd like to find some regulars, or folks I know (well, as best as you can "know" someone from a forum) for some friendly games. The Clone Campaigns is not necessary, but I prefer to play with the expansion pack.

if you're a fan of games like Starcraft or Age of Empires, I would say definitely. I'm loving it and have been since release last November. The expansion makes a lot of much-needed changes and adds the two factions from EpII so yes, definitely worth it.

purchased the gam and the expansion today, and i love it! it was easy to pick up cuz of my AOK experience but the multitude of units and buildings and techs make the game challanging and rewarding. there is nothing like breaking through and ravaging your enemy's civilization and reducing it to rubble. muhahahaha

yep, the AoK similarities make it accessable, but don't fall into the trap of thinking the units perform like they do in AoK. Each type of units (troopers, mechs, air) has a type of unit that works well against another type of unit. Okay, so it is like AoK. 🙂 but the types of units aren't an exact match. Regular troopers, whom you'd think are like soldiers in AoK, are really like Archers since they're ranged.

Anyhoo, I should be on the zone tonight guys, after my interview. Come git me. hehehe
