Thank you very much for the kind words and review. I think to make it in any aspect of the entertainment industry, there has to be several ingredients. There are/were a slew of guitarists out there more talented than myself. If talent were the only requirement, I know a ton of people who should have been major stars. There's a considerable amount of luck involved along with the hard work, (along with playing the role of brown noser, at which no one in my band was particularly adept).
Interestingly enough, the night that the live guitar solo was recorded, we were opening for a metal band called Tempest. The month before, we had played a show with a group called the News Boys (they had just arrived in America) and of course went on to be a fairly well known act. The month after we played a concert with a group called Jacob's Trouble, who also went on to a fair share of notoriety (and who are also some of the zaniest and nicest people I've ever met).
It seems all the conditions should have been right to break it into the big time but it seems it just wasn't to be. It must have been the planetary alignment, heh. There's also a really nasty side to the Christian music industry that I witnessed on a regular basis. I'll leave it at that except to add that I'm sure every industry has it's share of 'snakes in the grass', and the Christian Music biz is no different.
No need to order the CD, you can just download the mp3's and put them on your mp3 player for free. I'm going to be putting the entire album up on the page probably some time tomorrow.
Take care and thanks again...
