Former Braves Pitcher Pascual Perez Killed In Robbery

I just read very sad news. Former Braves pitcher Pascual Perez has been killed in a robbery in the Dominican Republic. When I first became a Braves fan in 1983, Perez was having his best years with the Braves.

Mr Perez was 55 years old. I'm guessing longtime baseball fans like me remember who he was.

I definitely remember him from his glory days in the Major Leagues. It's sad that he died so young. 🙁 Apparently his wealth made him a target for a home invasion and robbery (see second link).

Thanks for the link,mils. The other stories written about this didnt say he was terminally ill. That makes it all the more tragic.

To my way of thinking, that makes the murderers even more despicable, preying on a man who was very ill.
