forum mail?

Is anyone getting forum mail today, like from private message receipts?

I think there's a problem with it.

The last private message I received was yesterday afternoon, so all was okay then, but I'm not sure if there may have been a problem at the time Jeff posted or not.

Forum Mail

Hi Jeff,

I am not sure what the status is but believe that the PM function is not working. I have a couple of folks who I have been trying to contact using the PM and when they do get a hold of me they say that haven’t received the messages. This has been constant since the upgrade.

Hmm, are you talking about PM's not working, or the email receipt of a PM not working. As far as I know, PM's are working fine, I havent heard anything about them failing to work (although some people have failed to notice when their box was filled up)

That said, however, there appears to be a problem with the server sending mail. Some people are getting it and others are not.

So could you clarify what you were talking about there?

Forum Mail

It seems that sending a PM does not work. I can send them and everything goes out OK, but I am not getting any responces and the people I am trying to reach say they are not getting them.

I'm not getting emails about either PMs or message board replies, but I'm sending and receiving PMs just fine, at least as far as I know.

Thanks greg. There's definately a problem with server mail, although its sporadic, which is almost worse.

PM's, as far as I can determine, are working as they should though.

If you are not receiving PM's, please check to make sure your PM storage space is not full. Right now, it is set at 200 max. So if you have 200 PM's in your sent items folder, or inbox, or any combination, you will not receive any new PM's. If you are at capacity, delete some old PM's from one or more of your PM folders, and you should be able to receive new ones again.

We have a new fix in for the mail on the server, that should start kicking in tonight and into tomorrow, it has to do with the nameserver so we're waiting for the DNS to propagate. Please let me know if you start getting email receipts for your PMs again.
