Fox reports LT will sign a multiyear contract. This is truly confusing to me. If the Jets wanted and aging RB then why didnt they just keep Thomas Jones. I like LT as much as anyone but lets be realistic. LT numbers have nosedived the last four years. And he has never played alot of games in the cold weather and snow. He is a Texas kid that played at TCU and then in sunny San Diego .

They have Shonn Greene to carry the load. I'm guessing that LT signed for a lot less than Thomas Jones would've accepted.

I wouldn`t be so sure about the less money thing. why not use Greene and Washington . As much as I like LT , the truth is RIGHT NOW Jones is the better RB than LT .

It was painful watching LT against the Cowboys this last year. He was always looking for a place to fall or tripping over his own feet

I like the move. Jets will compete, LTD will be like Bettis in his later years (only carrying the load in certain spots) and together they might get at least one shot to go to the big game.

Now, will I be shocked if this move flops? No.

But on paper I think it's worth a shot.

As I said with T.O. when the Cowboys scape goated him last season, LT's going to play this year with a chip on his should and to prove he's still got gas in the tank adn that San Diego made a big mistake in letting him go.

what...

T.O. didn`t play with a chip on his shoulder last year with Bills. He signed that contract so fast because he and Drew his agent didn`t think any team would offer him that kind of money on a one year deal . He put up the worst numbers of his career by far !

Not seeing ANY teams so far tripping over themselves to sign him this offseason.

LT is going to realize he's done. He will be a role player now. He wants to be a starter, but being a Jet won't give him that opportunity. Shonne Green and Leon Washington will get plenty of opportunities.

As for T.O., man, him being in Cincy would have been scary. All this talk about TO's production going down in Buffalo, fans and media forget one thing. Who the hell was throwing him the football in Buffalo? Trent Edwards and Ryan Fitzpatrick. They fired their offensive coordinator right before the season, and people expect TO to have a big year. TO's production drop had more to do with the mess called Buffalo offense, than TO himself.

you are a hoot...

you say LT is going to realize he`s done , to which I agree with completely. Yet the exact same thing is happening to T.O. and you refuse to admit he is done as well.

T.O. knew EXACTLY who the QB`S were in Buffalo when he signed. Like I said before , he and Drew were SHOCKED on the amount of money offered by the Bills for a one year deal. They couldn`t sign that contract fast enough. T.O. has said he is ONLY ABOUT WINNING a championship, then he signs with Buffalo. I call serious :bsflag: on that

As far as him going to Cincinatti and them bein scary. It would be scary alright, watching Ocho Cinco and T.O. bitching and whining every week about being the no.1 guy and not getting enough balls thrown their way. Each week it would be one trying to outdo the other. They would be more entertaining than the Barnam & Baily Circus

Don't get me wrong. TO is pretty much done too. He's 36, and not quite the standout receiver. But come on, if you were in Buffalo, your numbers would have dropped. Buffalo is a complete mess.

But if TO went to Cincy, his numbers go back up. Just like all primadonna receivers, they need a good QB. He wouldn't have to worry about Chad. Chad REQUESTED TO to come to Cincy. Chad isn't worry about numbers if he's going to do that.

I got this feeling, he will end up in Chicago.

A. You are giving Ocho Cinco WAY TOO MUCH CREDIT

2. Again, T.O. knew exactly what the situation was in Buffalo

D. T.O. and Jay Cutler probably couldn`t last one practice before beating the Hell out of each other; much less a season

In theory, TO in Chi-town makes sense. But then again, so did Philly and Big-D.
