I saw that some people (Azreal, I think) had been trying to set up a tickling roleplaying game on a roleplaying site. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to get very far. So, me and some friends were thinking of starting up something similar, but simpler and something that requires less expertise (since we don't have a whole lot of that either).

We saw that some games there use the freeform system, where you don't roll dice, but rather describe what you do, and the other simply react to it, and it seems like it can work great.

So, the question really is, would anyone be interested in something like this?

If it's fun for all doing it, what the heck, Innocentgirl87, why not create some games around the tickling fun? It can make it more exciting, as the tension builds to see who is going to tickle whom, how, for what length of time, and so on.

The thing would be something along the lines of a fantasy story, where one is the GM (the storyteller, sort of) and decides the plot and rules and controls all the non-player characters, and the players act as characters. This is of course different from cybering, and is meant to be more like roleplaying (however, tickling will definately play a big part in the game).

I'm all for roleplaying. I used to roleplay back in the 28k modem days on some forums, played MUD's and had some crazy roleplaying sessions there.

Got into something called rolefighting in a chatroom a decade ago, good memories. Helped me to love reading and writing.

I'm game for anything you wanna toss up. I'm sad I didn't learn about Azrael's game sooner, nice fellow. Would have loved to join up. 🙂

Who would be the GM? What kind of scenario? In this day and age of of video gaming and special effects in movies, one has to wonder where the fun in roleplaying online can be found. It's definitely old fashioned, but I started young, and I still love it.

Call me dorky, but I'm all for a few laughs. 🙂

I really don't care for the whole dice-rolling thing in rp. I've done my best online rp on Mucks and Mushes, and sometimes forums and mailing lists, where's its strictly free form storytelling. It helps when everyone plays fair of course. 😉 (Gotta hate those rhinoskinners.) I'd do it but in a tk rp, lacking real life experience, I think I'd be boring as hell. 😉

RPoL is slowly introducing a new version of the Site. Be Forewarned: The "Adult" Category is no longer in existence. Instead, a game may be placed in any other Category, and flagged as either "Mature" or "Adult" in nature. There has been talk of initiating a new, Premium account type, one of the benefits of which would be access to the Adult flag. This idea is being seriously considered, and may already have been decided upon, as a means of both helping to obtain much-needed funds and controlling the massive problem of underage access in the Adult areas.

The Staff are fair, but are neither lenient nor tolerant of any troublemaking or persistant questioning. The long-time regulars aren't even fair. I personally would suggest avoiding both the General Discussion and Community Chat forums.

There are other forum-type setups out there, which are also good (and, in some cases, primarily intended) for this sort of thing.

Welcome to TMF. I'm Mitch. TMF has a chat room, and, if you private chat with people in there, roleplay is done all the time. Other than that, not sure about what specific AIM or Yahoo chats there are for that, but, TMF's chat is used for roleplayers and cyber all the time.

So, it turns out a friend of mine has set up a game herself, and is just starting it up. I've already joined, as well as a couple of others, but they're still looking for people before starting.

Here's the deal;



The game takes place at a university out in nowhere. The university hosts the stereotypical cheerleaders, football teams, swimmer teams, science groups, teachers and all that. There are also many "secret groups", sects and all that who keeps themselves hidden. There's also a bit of a "goofy" side to it all, with ghost sightings and alien abductions (the university is rumored to have been placed on a mystical hotspot). Most of this also ties in with tickling one way or another. Players simply create a character, and start playing.

One thing to be aware of though, is that this game, while not all that serious and so, is still an actual game. Tickling is a huge part of it, but this is not just supposed to be constant cybertickling, it's about telling a story. Interaction, relationships and plenty of other things are equally important.

Also important is that it's not a sex game. While erotical tickling and such are of course allowed to some degree, the GM's will remove people who oversteps the bounds (after warning them first).

I wish you guys luck. I joined a fantasy-themed tk rp on rpol late last year and it didn't last long. (Or at least, the non-adult section didn't last long. There was an optional adult section I didn't join, so for all I know that my still be going on.)

Thanks. We're actually of to a good start, it seems, as there are already several players, and many applicants. I do know the GM in real life, and she's not really someone who just drops out, so I think this game might have some potential.
