About ten years ago, a scam was exposed at some pricey restaurants here in NYC. The perpetrator would come in, order an expensive three- or five-course meal, and, late in the meal, take a dead cockroach out of a vial in their pocket, place it into the dish, and begin screaming. It stopped after some were arrested for fraud with video evidence.

I am not saying that the woman with the frog in her salad did this, but I am skeptical of such stories.

Yeah, scams like that still pop up now and then. That crossed my mind when I saw this story.
