I have been to an Irish wake where the deceased was posed sitting at a table with a drink of Bushmills Irish whisky in his hand.
(And his relatives noted that this was the first time they ever saw him with a drink that he did not finish.)
It was also the first time that I heard the prayer, "May you spend an hour in heaven before the devil knows that you are dead."
