A similar incident happened in England last year! A guy wanted to travel across London but he ended up going via Bristol! There's a lesson here!

It used to be routine for dishonest taxi drivers to take international tourists for a long, expensive ride from JFK airport to Manhattan, inflating the cost by hundreds of dollars. I remember when I was in San Francisco in 2012, we got a taxi from the airport to Fisherman's Wharf, and I was starting to worry when I saw the road signs for Pacifica and Daly City go past the window! We got there in the end though, but it was expensive!
