I've been living in NC for nearly 3 years now, but haven't really traveled the state much outside of work. Anyone have some suggestions for a day trip (or two-day trip) to spend a weekend on, alone or with friends?
Interests: musical theater, beer, flowers, aquariums (aquaria?)
Totally not interests: sports, cars, rock/metal concerts
I've done some cursory searches from time to time, but hoping some locals might have gems that wouldn't necessarily show up on a search engine 🙂 What have you done that you really enjoyed and would recommend to others?
