Excellent article! I agree, the tone of the article was great -- refreshingly free of exaggerated condescension or dwelling on how perverted everyone who visits the site must be.
Thank you for posting the link 🙂
This is exactly what prompted me to post it here. I love that an editor can write such a light-hearted and informative paper on a subject like this.
I am gonna say something very obvious but there will always be people who will call others perverts. There will always be people who will find S&M, tickling, even feet, repulsive. There was quite a stir when MMA female star Julie Kedzie (whom I respect enormously) went on a rant against the creation of her Wikifeet page.
Yet, never (except once, and it did not affect me in the slightest) have I had to face a big prejudice regarding my fantasies. Foot fetish itself came out of the closet long ago; when girls find out I have a foot fetish, they just go like: "Oh, so you're one of those? Okay!". I even encountered the hilarious case when a female friend of mine was constantly sending me pics of her feet asking me if her polish, pedicure or footwear were alright, dubbing me a "specialist" in the matter
😛 As for tickling, most girls find it kind of cute, although I do stand somewhat on the hardcore side of things.
What I am trying to say is, for one condescending jerk out there, there is almost always a caring, fun-loving and intellectually curious person like I believe the article's author to be.
