vBulletin released their "gamma" version of their vbulletin 3 product, so that means there is only one more version release (release canidate) before it's finally done after going on 2 years of development.

Note that is just the default look that will come with the product. I will of course edit it to look very similar to what we have here now. Feature wise it's pretty amazing, so if you want to test it out register an account over there and play around with it.

do you know anything about IkonBoard? it WAS the board on a music website I like, but is no longer up (the board that is).

Ikonboard used to be popular a couple years back, but it's hard to find sites that run it anymore. Ever since Matt (main developer for the original ikonboard) left Jarvis to make his own "InvisionBoard" I have seen people using that the most out of the free board choices. Simply because InvisionBoard is a great free board program; if not the best IMHO.

I use vBulletin for the support and stability one is to expect from a paid board service. All the downtime we've had was not the fault of the board, but of the server settings which I recently had tweaked thanks to their support team. I think once vBulletin finishes their "vBulletin 3" product it will be a fantastic step forward for all messageboards out there.
