Generalization: Foot Fetish

Here's a subject I have always been wondering about...


When you're attracted to feet, people easily refer to you having a foot fetish.

However, when you tell someone else you have a foot fetish... what do other people (who are not into feet) likely think? That you like to suck on toes?


It's so easy to get completely the wrong idea. Personally I have a foot fetish, but I'm totally not into toes. On a frequent basis they are more a turn off for me than they could be a turn on. The only thing I like about feet are the soles (including heel). I don't care about the top of the feet but I know there's a group of people who are excited about those too, or nail polish in particular (maybe that's a toe thing though, I dislike nail polish).

So perhaps 'foot fetish' really is a bigger container for different fetishes, e.g. sole-fetish, heel-fetish, toe-fetish... maybe wrinkle-fetish if there's such a thing...


How do you guys feel about this? If you (would) say you have a foot fetish, what do you expect other people to think you're into or like to do. Am I right or wrong? Do you prefer to use another term than 'foot fetish' for this reason or another?

Someone who's a "tit man" might prefer certain sizes and shapes of female breasts. Similarly, a "foot fetishist" might reasonably be attracted to certain sizes and shapes of feet, or particular parts thereof.

I suppose it's all a matter of degree. For instance, beyond the sheer delight that comes from tickling the feet of someone who is genuinely ticklish, peds don't hold any more attraction for me than any other exquisite part of the female form.
But, slowly, I'm coming around to the foot fan way of thinking. Thanks to visiting sites like this, I have a better appreciation for women's feet than I originally did. Partly because I suspect that ALOT of women really like special attention given to their feet. Hell, why not? It feels great to get a foot massage, or any care for that matter! I think most people would agree.

I don't know if any tests have been conducted to prove it or not, but i suspect that being tickled releases all sort of endorphines and/or other healthy chemical/physical reactions in the body.

Veered off-topic abit. All's I know is, a sophisticated woman can tease you blind just as easily with her feet as the typical naughty bits, if you're a receptive enough reader of signals.

But, like you, I'm not wild about having feet in mouth or whatever :tooth:

Well, I like to say, I'm interested in feet, but I hardly say that, because I don't like the idea of term fetish being used. That has so many connotations now from the original meaning, "an idol or doll, or amulet used in worship or ritualistic practices" or the psychology based version of it, "a sexual attraction to an object that interferes with your ability to be aroused by normal stimuli".

I differ from these because firstly, I do not use feet in ritualistic practices of worship, nor do I worship feet, I'll sniff a lady's foot from time to time, but I do not consider it worship, that would be heresy. hehe. And secondly, I am aroused by so much more than merely the foot, and besides I'm not even technically a fan of the foot. I'm a fan of the sock.

And plus, people and their slang usage for words like fetish have just lent the term to ordinary usage without correct knowledge of the meaning. I wish I had a shillelagh every time someone used that term incorrectly. I'd smack them in the throat.

See, and I'd always assumed(you know what they say!) that it would be the socked foot that you were a fan of, not the very sock itself!

Do you like smelly, previously worn socks? It's not that unusual. I suspect there's pheromones aplenty in them thar sweaty feet(and thus socks, too).
