So earlier tonight I decided to experiment with cake recipes because I am making a few cakes in a week or so for my cousin's engagement party. The theme of the party is autumn so I am trying to make more autumn-ish cakes. So tonight I tried a recipe for an apple spice cake. It turned out absolutely delicious.
I brought a slice down to my neighbor and she had a study group over. So I also gave them all a slice except for one boy who said he didn't like cake. My neighbor responded in a joking matter "Well EVERYONE loves cake!"
So my question to you...is what generalizations do you think hold true for a majority of people? I have heard all kinds throughout my life...
"Everyone loves chocolate!"
"Everyone loves a nice sunny day!"
"Everyone loves a smiling baby!"
But is that true? Some people HATE chocolate and despise anything that has to do with children. Maybe I am putting too much emphasis on something trivial...but it is interesting to think about.
So please tell me...what generalizations do YOU hear all the time?
