This is almost a year old, so someone might have posted it here, but it’s worth the risk for those who, like I, have been fascinated by how our fetish (feet in particular) is represented/manifests in mass media, from old-school to algorithms. Since the advent of Tarantino's foot focus in some of his films, this particular fetish has gotten more attention than before the 90s, but the article does posit an interesting hypothesis. The more that the mainstream makes the interest taboo, the more appeal it has for certain people.
