Georgia Possibilities?

Hey since Terorizer posted to this forum, I thought, why not? 😀

I recently thought that it would be great to form a group for Georgia tickle lovers which allow us to engage in public social activities throughout the year. Maybe we could meet for drinks, or dinner. We could go bowling or dancing sometimes. How about a Braves, Falcons, or (dare I say) Hawks game? Even outings at amusement parks, miniature golf, and other spots come to mind.

I believe that the group can be used to give us a chance to get to know each other better and bring us closer together. Ultimately- hopefully it will encourage more people (both men and women) to feel comfortable and free around people who share common interests.

My new Yahoo group, GA TICKLERS (21 years and older), will serve as an informational event calendar. Members who indicate that they are from the state will work closely with me to determine dates, times, and locations for social outings. It's all about having fun, sharing past experiences, and enjoying each other's company.

You don't have to reply to this thread to show interest. Join Georgia Ticklers (link below), and I hope I will hear from you soon.

Sounds like a great idea, Sunrise. I lived in Atlanta for a little while, and I fell in love with the city. It's such a fun town, and I hope to move back there eventually, If, and when I do, count me in!

Great idea, Sunrise...I was thinking of the same thing for New Jersey, but some people here are overly concerned with finding a vic- er...subject to put in stocks...rather than belonging to a small social club 😉

And I am sure there are people here (Georgia) who feel the same way. I just wish they understood that sometimes you just have to start small to allow everyone to feel comfortable with the idea of socialization.

Not a lot of women (And men...I can't discriminate) are going to like the idea of hopping into bondage or letting someone poke and prod them 5 seconds after they meet someone. There are a few that will, but with the luck that ya'll have, you'll never meet them. LOL 😛

People should take this opportunity to know one another and feel comfortable, for most having anyone upon their body takes trust and comfort. Remember folks you never know where these social outing might take you....start in steps! If I'd lived down south I would surely join you Sunrise!

Another reason to think about moving to GA

Over the years, a lot of my relatives have been moving out of Wisconsin and moving down to Georgia and Florida. After reading this thread, and with winter being just around the corner, I'm starting to think that moving to Georgia might be a good idea. 😛

Yea, one thing that's always puzzled the hell out of me is how there are so many people here from NJ yet I've never actually been able to attend a Jersey gathering or actually meet any of them. The last guy here who tried to organize one got six guys and no women. Well, one women, but she dropped out when she found out she was the only one. 🙄

if you're serious Knox, rather than hijack Sunrise's thread, PM or or start a new one so we can get the Jersey folks together for a change. 😀

I'm sorry for not answering sooner.

I've been busy now that I have a job I LOVE!!!! Woohoo! 😛

Who would have thought it? I'm teaching again, even after I said I didn't want to ever ever ever teach kids again. And who would have thought that this would be the best school year of my life? And who would have thought that I could handle elementary school kids? (I was so afraid of them!!!) They cry less than middle school kids. And they are still excited about school. Sigh.... Life is so good! (Even if I am teaching Math, Science, Social Studies, English, Reading, Spelling, and Health in a span of 6 1/2 hours a day.)

Anyway, I haven't even been on the computer for what seems like forever.

Let me give you an explanation..... Everything was set. The group was growing (Georgia people too... which is surprising in itself, seeing as I didn't think Georgia tickle lovers existed.) And I was really excited about it. I even thought a cool place to hang out first would be Dave & Buster's in Marietta.

Well then that annoying email spam virus came along.... Coupled with assholes that private messaged me every 5 seconds on Yahoo Messenger... I just said screw it one day and erased my sunriseticklee account on Yahoo.

Not only that... (And this is not going to sound too nice, but honestly, I'm not trying to be offensive... PROMISE) I had to reprioritize my life. With my family and bills and just maintaining my own sanity, a tickling group fell way down on the bottom of my list. When all is said and done, I realized this summer how short life really is, and how important the people are around me. Spending time searching to find someone to poke me in the ribs just isn't part of my goals in life.

Getting my Master's and Doctorate degrees are.... Becoming a National Board Certified teacher is.... Being there for my family mentally, financially, and physically is..... Cultivating the friendships I already have, and even making new ones just because those people are great (not because they own a collection of multicolored feathers and leather straps).... that's important to me too.

Man... I want to play basketball again too... So getting in shape and taking care of my body is also important.

And when I look at all the things I need to do, plus all the things I dream of doing.... It just isn't a part of my plan anymore.

I know someone out there understands what I am saying. I mean, I thought it was a cool idea at the beginning, and you know what, it still is. I just don't have time to be the head of it like I thought I would. Good gracious.... I have nephews in school now who have activities every weekend. And I have to find a new place to live and WOW... just so many things. And you know what? I'm looking forward to it.

Do you all realize how much more wonderful life is when you are doing something you love?

Well, congratulations on your new found freedom, and good luck to ya. I especially like that getting back in shape part. Corny but true, if you don't have your health you don't have anything. (Not to mention it makes it so much easier and more fun to get poked and prodded.)

That's wonderful, and I totally understand. I learned a while ago that it's all about balance, a difficult goal to achieve. As much as this forum or a group can become a core desire, it can't be at the expense of work, friends, family, etc.

Sorry you had that bad experience with spammers and private messagers. I don't even maintain an IM account because it became too time consuming for me. But I would still enjoy chatting with you, strictly via e-mail (sporadic as it may be). Your posts and website have always seemed positive and the philosophies you espouse are always sound.
