Glad I got up at 4am

I have to admit that I am glad that I set my alarm for 4am today to watch the opening game of the 2014 baseball season, broadcast live from Sydney, Australia, where it was 7pm local time.

I won't bore you with the details but the final score was Dodgers 3, wretched snakes[sup]*[/sup] 1.

[sup]*[/sup] Arizona Diamondbacks. They named their own team after a venomous snake.

It was completely and utterly awesome to have such a prestigious team come Down Under to kick off the season! I was rooting for the Dodgers, so glad they came away with the win 😀

Considering they're located in the middle of the desert...you gotta admit..."Diamondbacks" is a hell of a lot better than "Sand".."Cacti"..or "Lizards"!!! LOL!!!

Anyway...way to go Dodgers!!! (and there was concern about Kershaw's spring performances??) LOL!!! Way to fool the "experts"..Clayton!!!

Since they have a nickname beginning with "D", I can only suggest they try Arizona Douchebags or Arizona Dickheads. Still, I will be rooting for them every time they are in San Francisco or are hosting that team from San Francisco.

Hate that I missed it. Baseball is such a special sport and I can't wait for the season to fully begin. Although Milagros, I'm gonna predict that my Braves exact some revenge on the Dodgers after y'all put a beat down on us in the playoffs last year. But here's to a fun 2014 season! Best of luck!

Glad I stayed up until 1am last night, too, although it was scary at the end to see the snakes score 4 in the bottom of the 9th. 😱
