Ok, I have been WAITING for this game! Being a long-suffering Nittany Lions fan, we actually got a shot at the title this year...if, of course, we can keep the BCS computers from once again screwing it up and giving it to a couple of two-loss teams that are popular. *sigh*

Anyhoodles, this is the test right here. Not too many college games come along with this kind of match-up for me. My fave team against one of my least faves (sorry Buckeyes, but I just cannot stand Ohio State...too much of a history of soft schedules culminating in almost-automatic title bids...and the inevitable loss after way too much hype).

We took out Michigan (you're welcome, OSU 😉 ), and now we're coming for YOU!

Won't be easy, I know that. OSU does have a relatively solid team this year, well-coached...and we have to play this at the Horseshoe. 0-7 there...that's making me a bit nervous. But, stats are just stats...and this is a new year.

This is a HUGE game. If Penn State wins this, or in the best case scenario wins BIG, the rest of the games are winnable. Title shot, baby! They lose, there's no way. The way the BCS is rigged up, any one-loss team besides Penn State will get the call. The big, flashy schools always get it over actual talent.

Dave you are funny man. You make it sound like you accomplished something by beating Michigan. Everybody has been beating ( or beating up Michigan ). You want proof??? You don't see ANY Michigan fans talking about this team. You didn't do The Ohio State University a favor. Over the last six or seven years beating Michigan has become a religion. 😛

As far as soft schedules are concerned, you have been part of that schedule. Here is a fact that you may or may not know. Of the six losses over the last four years that the Buckeyes have suffered they have been against top five teams in five of their six losses. Also, of their wins over the last four years 22 of those wins come against ranked teams. That doesn't sound that soft. If they are beating ranked teams, that is all you can ask of them.

That being said, I wish you and Penn State luck tonight. It will be a GREAT watch. I know Sadira will be pulling for the Buckeyes because she is a graduate of that school.

It's all good, man. Just sports talk. Believe me, my issues with the BCS go WAY beyond OSU. Yeah, we may have not done much of a favor by beating up on Michigan...but it still felt good. 😉 It's usually the other way around.

Damn, was that a tight game. 30 years since last winning at the Horseshoe! Shit, this feels good.

To be fair to OSU, they played a hell of a defensive game and put the fear of God into this PSU fan.My heart was in my throat on that last long pass that got picked off in the end zone. In my head, I saw it going into a pair or red-jerseyed arms and....uugghh...don't even wanna think about it. Good job on D, OSU...really.

However...Penn State's got a legit shot at the title this year. Chances are good to run the tables on the last three games. Texas has at least one real tough game ahead of them. It's possible that the Nittany Lions could be the sole undefeated team at year's end.

This was a great fuckin' game, both sides.

Well, they didn't crush the Buckeyes, but it was a quality win nonetheless.

People are starting to talk National Title for these Nittnay Lions.

My only question is if Joe Pa will/would retire if he reached and/or won the title game?

A great game played by both teams. Penn State deserved to win this one. But it was one heck of a game. Congratulations Penn State!!! You earned it!!!
