Haha. As I look at this thread in the forum, it is right next to "the web hates tickling" thread. Which is it? Ironic.

Anyhoo, like they say: all publicity is good publicity. It wasn't like it was an article on tickling, or anything, but nice nonetheless.

Thanks for your reply. The saying about "all publicity..." is usually expressed in a context where something gets bad publicity, but (as the saying goes) "all publicity is good publicity." For example, if dear Lindsay Lohan gets arrested....

But this piece by Keillor is not a case of bad publicity, so there's no need to invoke the saying. True, it's not an article completely about tickling, but how many of those do we see in mainstream media? This is a pretty good endorsement from a very famous writer.

By the way, that's an awesome picture in your sig. Where is the photo of the girls from, and is there a way that we can see it directly? I'd love to get a better look.

The saying does apply to specifically bad publicity, but bad publicity is a subsection of "all" publicity, so therefore my argument stands. So there.
