Brutiful. I think you've just coined a new term that will find heavy usage in the metal scene, lol! That's awesome!
I've known about Heaven Shall Burn for awhile, since before Antigone came out -- I found out about through their friendship with Caliban.
Heavier than what I'm looking for? Don't offend me, lol(jk). The heavier the better. It's like a drug -- over time my tolerance goes up and the heaviest I've got just isn't heavy enough anymore. I guess what I'm looking for is... Well I've been listening to a lot of DH lately, and they have some of the most emotional melodies around in *any genre.* And part of what is making them so good for me is the balls-to-the-wall style drumming that supports them, the constant super-fast beatdown that gets my heart ready to explode.
When I first heard Antigone though: Holy shit. That was a haymaker of an album. My only complaints are on the song structure. I wish they were a little better at writing because in many of the songs the same 3 riffs just repeat in a circle.
Excellent recommendation though. That album will get anyone pumped.
Disarmonia fuckin' Mundi -- LOL! Barely anyone knows about them! I remember the day I found them, years and years ago. Bjorn "Speed" Strid was my hero and vocal inspiration back in the day, (and still remains to be one of them) and I was scouring every corner of the 'net for anything with him on it besides Soilwork. I remember listening to the first song off of the first album, and after the synth intro when those drums kicked, my father had to come down stairs and literally scrape me off the wall with a putty knife. That drummer is insane. That whole band is out of this world.
