Got into a car accident this morning

I was involed in a car accident this morning, the person that caused it never even stopped. The whole drivers side of my car is smashed in. Ive got some cuts and bruises but nothing too serious, I will have a black eye though and my shoulder and left knee are sore and scraped. We were taken to the hospital as just a precaution

Jeebus! Glad to hear you made it out without apparent serious injury, man. I hope they were insured, so you can at least be reimbursed for your vehicle.

I think my insurance will have to pay, I didn,t get their license number, I know the make of the car and that,s it, it happened so fast

Take care if you get head pain, dizzy spells, blurred vision, or go flu like and shake all cover, see the doc.

This sometimes happens after a smash delayed shock or concussion type elements.

I have $100,00 deductable insurance but I,ll still have to spring for a paint job, my insurance only covers the side of my car that,s been damaged, so I might as well have the whole car painted, after all, it,s my baby. Thanks Rick and Hazelf, I,m fine.

Make sure you keep on top of what is going on with your insurance provider. My mom almost got screwed in her accident that wasn't her fault either. But even then they dragged their heels

I was already told by them that they would only fix and paint the side of my car that was damaged so after they have done this I,m going to have a friend paint the whole car, that,s what he does, he,s made a career of it. It,s a 2008 Mustang Bullitt and I,d like it the original colour and there has probably been some fading. He uses glass to blast away the old paint. I just have to buy the paint and he has the sealer. It pays to have good friends. Thanks very much for the advice.

Glad to hear it's nothing serious. If it's clearly at fault though, why would you have to pay the deductible?

I have to pay the deductible because the person responsible left the scene and I can,t prove who it was, it happened so fast. Thanks Rox, Likeasong and Izzy, I feel like I,ve been hit by a truck, I,m covered with bruises, minor cuts, a wicked black eye which I can hardly see out of, and every muscle im my body hurts. I look worse today than testerday. I could certainly use a whirlpool right now. I forgot to tell you that I struck a frozen snow bank and not another vehicle, thank God, so no-one else was hurt. I,ll be fine. Comfort food eh Rox, I would like that. Hugs everyone.
